Only one problem—this restoration never happened because the people of God were unable to walk in such a way before God that they could experience the fullness of God’s promise. Over and over again Yahweh gave the people of God chances to be restored to Him, and over and over again they chose sin instead. Haggai 2:9 shows us something similar.
